Snowdrops Festival
Mon 23 Jan – Sun 26 Feb, 10.30am – 4.30pm (last entry 4pm)
Welcome the arrival of spring with the joyful sight of snowdrops – 240 varieties flourish at Anglesey. Weekday tours at 2pm, booking advisable. Watch an introductory snowdrop film or start your own collection with the many varieties available in our Plant Centre.

Wicken Fen
Mucky Pups Do… Wicken in Winter
Wednesday 11 January, 10.30am – 12 noon
Pre-school fun on the Fen, the first of the year in our monthly Mucky Pups activities. Don’t forget the wellies, woollies and waterproofs.

Glory of the winter countryside
Weekends, 11am – 4pm
Start the new year by getting outside and experiencing the glory of the winter countryside. The Estate and Gardens will be open at weekends from 11am to 4pm. The Pantry will be open for warming refreshments and the Shop will have a post-Christmas sale.

Storytelling and Activities

Join us to hear The Snowman by Raymond Briggs and The Gruffalo’s Child by Julia Donaldson. Followed by snow based craft activities. Why not bring your Gruffalo along with you?
Winter in the Dedham Vale
Saturday 14January, 10.30am – 12.30pm
Enjoy a 2.5 hour (4 mile) guided ramble through the beautiful winter landscape of the Dedham Vale, using quiet footpaths to explore the rich tapestry of fields and woods that were the inspiration for the artist John Constable.
