The Fanfare
The world’s longest-running specialist print fair – London Original Print Fair - will be held in London in April 2012.
London Original Print Fair will take place in the main galleries of the Royal Academy of Arts at Burlington House on Piccadilly.
Now in its 27th year, the fair has established itself as the leading European venue for print dealers worldwide. In 2011, 56 international exhibitors from the UK, Germany, France, USA and Slovenia showed prints that ranged from rare Picasso linocuts to one-off Gavin Turk prints.
All the exhibitors are experts in their fields and every year the prints include early examples of printmaking such as the 15th-century engravings and woodcuts of Albrecht Dürer and his contemporaries, to the most recent work of contemporary printmakers such as David Hockney and Damien Hirst.
A programme of special events themed around the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will take place during the fair and will include an inaugural printmaking lecture, a print trail and guided tours by printmaking specialists.
The London Original Print Fair will be at the Royal Academy April 19–22, 10am–6pm daily.
Tickets will be available at the door for £10 including catalogue (£7 concessions).
