Eltham Palace’s New Marquee Site

Stylish art deco millionaire’s mansion Eltham Palace and Gardens, already one of London’s most sought-after wedding and party venues, can now host celebrations for up to 420 people thanks to a new marquee site nestled within its tranquil 19-acre grounds.
An Unforgettable Setting
As well as the private outdoor marquee site, rooms inside the palace are also available for exclusive hire and can accommodate wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions and dining for up to 200 guests.
Created by society millionaires Stephen and Virginia Courtauld to lavishly entertain their friends, they include the stunning Entrance Hall with its magnificent domed ceiling, the sumptuous Italian Drawing Room and dramatic pink, black and silver Dining Room. The adjoining Tudor Great Hall, part of King Henry VIII’s childhood home, offers an impressive stately setting for larger weddings and celebrations.
“The new marquee site means we can now offer couples the option of marrying inside the exquisite mansion and inviting more guests to celebrate in the evening in the wonderful gardens. We think it will also be popular for private and corporate parties – especially in the summer when the gardens are stunning,” said Vanessa Adlard, English Heritage Hospitality Manager.
The private grounds with sunken rose garden, Japanese rock garden, cascades, fountains, pools and beautiful lawns, provide an unforgettable setting for photography and for guests to enjoy.
Hire On An Exclusive Basis
Eltham Palace and Gardens (London SE9 5QE) is available to hire on an exclusive basis for civil wedding and civil partnership ceremonies on Fridays and Saturdays and for private evening events seven days a week until midnight.
Bespoke packages can be tailored for couples to select a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces to create their perfect day.
Clients have the services of a dedicated Hospitality Manager and a full list of top accredited suppliers to choose from.
